About the Breeder
My name is Jane and I am a Colorado native, happily married to Luke. We have 6 children between us and 9 grandchildren that share lots of time with us and our puppies. I have always been a breeder of some sort since I was a little girl. From gerbils to hamsters and black molly fish, I was a professional licensed breeder of Tonkinese kittens from 1982-1999. In 1976, just graduating from high school, while visiting some family members, I found an article about a dog breed from Switzerland called the Bernese Mountain Dog that had been developed over 2000 years ago, but had almost gone extinct until they were brought back in the late 1800’s. After 18 long years of searching for a puppy, Jamaica came to me in 1994 and I became a professional dog breeder Of AKC Bernese Mountain Dogs vowing to always breed for quality, health and beauty. In recent years I have imported top bloodlines from Russia, Belgium, Germany and Hungary.
Why Bernedoodles? Bernese Mountain Dogs will always be my first love. They are loyal, friendly and are a fantastic family dog. But many families could not enjoy the breed due to the heavy shedding and having children with allergies. Crossing the poodle to the Bernese Mountain Dog seemed like the perfect solution for families that desired the temperament of the Bernese Mountain Dog without the allergy issues. In 2010, I researched and found top quality AKC poodles to join my breeding program, and the Bernedoodle became part of JM Kennels breeding program in 2011.
Located in the small town of Johnstown Colorado, I have been at this location as a dog breeder licensed as JM Kennels, through PACFA (Pet Animal Care Facility Act) since 2009. All of my puppies are microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed prior to going to their new homes. Each puppy comes with a 72 hour, a One and Two Year Health Guarantee. All of our breeding dogs come from a long line of DNA testing to assure the health guarantees.

Rescue vs Breeder
When considering adopting a puppy, it is just as important to preserve the bloodline of a breed dog as it is to help a puppy/dog in need of a proper home. Both have a purpose, both have a passion. Keep that in mind when you are desiring to bring home a new puppy/dog.
